Working Principle of Asphalt Hot Mix Plant

The process of asphalt hot mix plant working is easy to learn. Before you operating, you should learn how the asphalt hot mix plant does work.

First of all, cold aggregate of different specifications is fed into the cold aggregate bin and then is transferred to the aggregate belt conveyor through the feeder belt conveyor. The aggregate belt conveyor transfers the cold aggregate to drying drum. Then, the aggregate enters the drying drum. The aggregate is dried because it directly contact with the hot gas generated by the burner. When aggregate is heated up to the set temperature, it flows from the discharge door to the aggregate elevator. The hot aggregate is sent to vibrating screen by aggregate elevator. The vibrating screen divides the hot aggregate into several specifications, then discharge them into hot aggregate storage bins. Then the different specifications of aggregate is transferred to the weighing system according to the proportion designated in advance.

The dust collecting system of hot mix bitumen plant is used to collect and handle of dust from combustion gases produced by drying drum and other devices. Then the hot aggregate, powder and bitumen weighed by weighing system are together discharged into mixing system. After mixing, the finished product is discharged into finished product storage bin. The finished product will be transported to construction sites by asphalt conveying truck.
